Our young people are under pressure and in need of support…what can we do to help them cope when so many of us are feeling the strain? Now both courses or workshops specifically for teenagers are available for 11-18 year olds. These introduce elements of mindfulness in a playful, accessible way, taught with striking visuals and activities which bring the message to life. Non-religious, courses and individual workshops are based on sound principles which are universal…with the ultimate goal of giving ones attention fully to the present moment, to study mindfully, exercise mindfully…even eat mindfully! Students report a greater sense of well-being, improved mood and self-confidence, better relationships and a greater ability to focus, get work done and achieve better. But the overall benefit is an increase in a feeling of wellbeing, kindness and connection with the moment.

Mindfulness has been found to be effective in reducing anxiety, depression and stress. It can help with examination nerves and increase concentration. But it’s not only used in moving away from negative experiences- it’s also of benefit in the creative areas of art, music, dance and drama and Mindfulness practice can also help concentration in sport. Even Jonny Wilkinson endorses it!
